VESAK POYA DAY

 Vesak Poya is the most important festival of Buddhists.  It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Buddha.  On this day, people visit temples and offer prayers to Buddha. Homes are decorated with thorana, Vesak lanterns, and lamps 🌿.  People engage in meritorious activities like giving alms, observing sil, and meditation 😇.  In 2000, the United Nations declared Vesak Poya an international holiday 😌.  Vesak Poya is an important day for us 🙏.
